The Australian Government is offering to provide free home internet for one year to 30,000 families around Australia with school-aged children that do not currently have an NBN broadband service. We have been asked to help identify families who are not connected to the NBN and help them apply for 12 months free internet.

If you want to apply for free home internet and do not think you already have NBN:

  1. Complete this survey to give us permission to find out if you are eligible for 12 months free internet: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PEFDigital
  2. Public Education Foundation (PEF) will check if your address is eligible and contact you to let you know;
  3. If your home address is eligible, PEF will send you a voucher for 12 months free NBN internet and a list of eligible internet providers that service your area;
  4. You will call an internet provider in your area to arrange the NBN connection. (PEF will not be responsible for coordinating the connection of the NBN to your home)

To be eligible, families must:

  • have a child living at home who is enrolled in an Australian school in 2024;
  • not currently be connected to the NBN;
  • live in a home that can access the NBN network.

If you have any questions or need assistance with completing the survey or any aspect of this process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@publiceducationfoundation.org.au. We are here to help!
