About Public Education Foundation

The Public Education Foundation (PEF) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing life-changing scholarships to young people in public education and enhancing the value and reputation of public schools. PEF is supported by Departments of Education across Australia and works in collaboration with individuals, schools, communities, the private sector and government agencies to help students achieve their full potential.

We believe that education has the power to change lives and transform communities. Help us support excellence and opportunity in public education and shape a strong, better future for Australians.

About the campaign

This campaign has been developed to promote public education as the cornerstone of Australian society. By focusing on the reflections of great Australians as they talk about their public education, the campaign aims to shine a light on the core values enshrined of our public education system.

These core values – excellence, inclusion, diversity, fairness, equity, opportunity – will be emphasised over the course of the campaign rollout.

This campaign helps raise awareness and instill confidence in parents and the community that Australian Public Schools were, are and always will provide a vibrant, inclusive and high quality education to all Australians.

We aim to amplify this message all over Australia to start conversations on social media which raises community awareness of the importance of Public Schools as a cornerstone to a thriving democracy and a fantastic place to get an education in Australia.
