The Public Education Foundation announces that its CEO, David Riordan, has informed the Board of his intention to retire at the end of 2024.
David has given decades of service to public education, including as a primary school teacher, a TAFE teacher and leader, and as an Australian representative in the international education and training sector, beginning with his involvement on behalf of TAFE NSW with the training of the workforces of the Sydney, Athens and Beijing Olympic/Paralympic Games.
At the Public Education Foundation, David has steered the organisation out of the challenges of the COVID period and has secured important new partnerships enabling support for dozens of new scholarship students.
The Board and team congratulates David on his achievements over a long career, thanks him for his service to PEF and public education in Australia, and wishes him a very happy retirement.
A search for a new CEO will commence shortly.
