John Goh is forever grateful for a Public Education Principal Scholarship (2014) and the opportunity of travelling to Harvard for the Leadership as an Evolving Vision course.
While learning so much about leadership at the course from global educators and outstanding speakers, the title of the course has finally resonated with him after 4 years. When he thought that his school made a comfortable transformation in education for their students, along came external variables: staff changes, new curriculum and policies, and emerging technologies. External factors will eventually lead to his school’s vision evolving. According to John Goh:
“It can be challenging at times but the course enhanced my knowledge, skills and resilience to continue with our school’s transformation while at the same time bring teachers who have differing values and beliefs together to work collaboratively for school improvement.”
From 2014, john has shared the transformation of his school in workshops, local and international conferences and during a TedX talk. “The Public Education Foundation scholarship opened up so many doors for our school to continue to evolve and improve. My thanks to the Harvard Club of Australia and the Teachers Mutual Bank for the ongoing Principals’ support.”
