The Public Education Foundation is preparing to showcase the best and the brightest from our public schools at our annual celebration of public education.  We would be delighted if you could join us at this celebration which will take place at Sydney Town Hall on Wednesday 17 May.  This free event showcases talented performers from our public schools and acknowledges the achievements of our 2017 scholarship recipients.  Everyone with a passion for public education is invited to attend.

Public Education Essay Competition

The Public Education Foundation has a critical role to play in advancing the value and reputation of public education by advocating for the sector and celebrating excellence and achievement within it.

The Public Education Foundation Essay Competition, supported by the Retired Teachers’ Association,  is open to NSW year 11 students who attend public schools.  All you need to do is write a 400-word essay on Why a Good Public Education System Matters in Modern Australia. 

The winning entry will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Foundation to support their education expenses.

Applications close on Monday 4 July 2017.
