We are proud to partner with the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue on a new scholarship to support students in secondary schools in Western Sydney. The Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue Scholarship targets students moving into the critical years of years of senior high school to help them achieve their potential.
Each scholarship will provide financial support of $1,000 per year in year 11 and year 12 (total scholarship value is $2,000 per student) to at least five students to help with resources and services to improve educational outcomes.
“Education is a key plank underpinning the successful future growth of the region and we’re proud to continue to support initiatives aimed at enhancing Western Sydney’s capacity and to help provide opportunities for the next generation of leaders,” Christopher Brown AM, Chairman, Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, said.
The Public Education Foundation’s Executive Director, David Hetherington, appreciates the generous support of the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue in establishing this new scholarship: “We are delighted to be strengthening our reach in Western Sydney, one of the country’s most vibrant growth areas. We recognise that there are still areas of great need but we also see the enormous potential and drive among students in this region.”
The Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue has already supported seven high school and tertiary transition students through Public Education Foundation Scholarships in 2019.
