The Public Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing life-changing scholarships to young people in public education and enhancing the value and reputation of public schools.

The Foundation works in collaboration with schools, communities, unions, business and government to help students achieve their full potential and support teaching and learning excellence in the public education system.

Nominations for the Public Education Awards are open. Let’s highlight the exceptional work happening in our NSW public schools. Two of the seven categories recognise students, parents and volunteers: the Minister’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement and the Public School Parent and Volunteer of the Year Award. Students in all secondary school years are eligible for the Minister’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement. The Public School Parent and Volunteer of the Year Award is a prestigious award presented to parents, guardians, and caregivers and volunteers who have made a significant contribution to their local NSW public school community.
